Installation

To make the process as smooth as possible and to ensure the best results, here are a few extra installation tips:

• You can interchange 2m and 4m widths of this grass.
• Select the right base material for your ground surface type - you can also install a shockpad underlay to add extra softness and bounce underfoot.
• Take care when joining your grass panels. We recommend watching our video for in-depth advice to achieve seamless joins.
• Include a weed membrane to keep pesky plant growth at bay.

Maintenance

Because York 20mm has a shorter pile, it’s especially easy to care for. However, there are still some essential maintenance tasks that will keep your lawn looking fresh and vibrant.

• Regularly remove any debris, like twigs and leaves (and any pet mess if you have a dog or cat).
• Using a soft-tine rake or firm brush will help keep the blades nice and fluffy.
• It’s important to rinse your lawn regularly and carry out a deeper clean about once a month.
• Avoid placing heavy garden furniture on your grass, as it can flatten the blades.
• Don’t place barbecues or fire pits directly on your lawn - the heat can melt the fibres.
• Similarly, make sure there are no mirrors or reflective surfaces facing your grass. The glare can also lead to melting.
